Takeo Matsushita is a familiar face in film and television. He was nominated for an Image Award for his recurring role as the Medical Examiner in the series, New York Undercover. He also played a guest role in Sidney Lumet's series 100 Centre Street. His most well-known commercial work is in "Wasabi!" for Budweiser Beer, but he has also acted in spots for Delta Airlines, Pizza Hut, and TicTac, among others. He has had feature roles in numerous popular films, including The Spanish Prisoner, A Perfect Murder, The Fireworks, and Every Messiah is a Liar. Takeo has a close connection to Shadowplay; his mother was scheduled to travel into Hiroshima the day of the bombing, but was sick and missed the trip.
